My name is A Peschanski and I am a filmmaker, editor and writer available for freelance work. (My full CV is available at the end of this page)

After obtaining a Bachelors in Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Bristol in 2017, and a Masters in Science, Technology and Society at University College London (UCL) in 2018, I decided to let go of academia and pursue a career in filmmaking.

In order to do help with the transition, I did a 5-month long course at Open City Docs in Practical Documentary Filmmaking in 2019, before moving back home to Paris, where I have been working as a freelance video/filmmaker, editor and writer since October 2019.

Due to my background in science and sociology of science, I have done a lot of video work for research labs and other scientific institutes (Institut Rafaël, AFM-Téléthon, iStem, LineData, Data For Policy, French National Ethics Committee…), as well as video journalism for Explore Media, a French online media that specialises in science and innovation.

I have also worked on a lot projects that had nothing to do with either science or scientists, with YouTubers like Hannah Witton (lifestyle) and Charles & Ava (baking and self-improvement), or French basketball player Migna Touré and her Lokosso Academy (sports).

In my free time, I created a podcast about queer people’s love stories in 2018 (And Nobody Dies in This One), a YouTube channel about what scientists do outside of their work (Scientists With Hobbies), and an edited tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) Actual Play show published on YouTube (Blanket Fort RPG). I have also been practicing fiction writing for TV and film, as well as game designing for TTRPGs.

Je m’appelle Amélie Peschanski, et je suis vidéaste et monteuse à la recherche de travail en freelance. (Vous trouverez mon CV complet en bas de cette page)

J’ai, depuis, travaillé sur des projets qui n’avaient absolument rien à voir ni avec les sciences, ni avec les scientifiques, notamment pour les youtubeurs Hannah Witton (lifestyle) et Charles & Ava (pâtisserie et développement personnel), ou la joueuse de l’équipe de France de basket Migna Touré et sa Lokosso Academy (sport).

Dans mon temps libre, j’ai crée un podcast sur les histoires d’amour de personnes queers (And Nobody Dies in This One), une chaîne YouTube sur la vie des scientifiques en dehors de leur travail (Scientists With Hobbies), et un Actual Play (jeu de rôle (JDR) filmé et monté) diffusé sur YouTube (Blanket Fort RPG). Je pratique aussi l’écriture de films et séries de fiction, ainsi que la création de jeux pour le JDR.
